Optometry @ Deakin • From 2012 Deakin will offer the world’s first accelerated optometry program – minimum 3.5 years. • The course will combine modern teaching and learning strategies (PBL, TBL, simulation) with extended workplace based clinical placements. • Optometry @ Deakin will operate from the state-of-the-art $53M REACH facility.

Bachelor of Health & Medical Science (Honours) • One year full-time (or part-time equivalent ): • HBS400 - Research Methods (2 credit points); • HMH401 - Developing Research Skills (2 credit points); • HMH402 - Honours Research Project (4 credit points). • Students based at Waurn Ponds Campus, or with partners in the Geelong region. • Pathway into: - medical research, including Masters and PhD - medical course • Scholarships available (up to $2,000).
