  2. Select type of wax

  3. Mrs. Pearson will cut your wax to width

  4. Size the inside of your ring

  5. Tools for shaping your ring

  6. Using the Jewelry Saw

  7. Filing the Wax

  8. Heating tools for wax

  9. Weigh your wax model. Wax cannot exceed 1.5 grams.

  10. Multiply your wax weight by Ten.REMEMBER WEIGHT!!!

  11. Cut sprue, ¼ of an inch long, weigh with wax ring

  12. Sprue up

  13. ½ inch from top of wax model to top of flask

  14. Measure Flask of Water

  15. Water should be ¼ inch from top

  16. Pour the water into the rubber bowl

  17. Add powder until you have an island

  18. Have fun mixing

  19. Add powder until you have a pancake batter consistency

  20. Vibrate bubbles out

  21. Slowly pour the investment in; avoid pouring directly on top of the ring

  22. Fill to the top

  23. Vibrate your flask

  24. Let it dry, mark your initials, period, and the weight you need in metal.

  25. Leftover Investment • Let the leftover investment dry in the bowl • Do Not pour investment down sink • After the investment is dry, put in garbage

  26. Overnight burnout

  27. Reheat to 900 degrees F to cast

  28. Wind the centrifuge 3 turns

  29. Put metal into crucible

  30. Put flux on metal and start heating

  31. Get your hot flask from kiln and set into the cradle

  32. Heat metal until liquid

  33. Get it hot

  34. Let it spin

  35. Check for a full sprue

  36. When not red quench in water

  37. Pull metal from flask

  38. Find the sand blaster

  39. Don’t forget to turn on the air

  40. Spray it off with sand

  41. It should now be clean

  42. Cut sprue off with the Jewelry saw

  43. File and Sand

  44. Buff your piece

  45. Your piece should almost be finished

  46. Make last minute fixes and turn it in!!Yeah, you have just completed your 1st cast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
