Why Are People Going “There” (to z/TPF)? • “There” looks more interesting and powerful • 64-bit • Get to really use z machine in z mode • More storage available • Access to storage above 2 GB line • Open source emphasis • New compiler • New tools/environment But there’s one more reason for going there… • “Here” is disappearing • Have to go somewhere W e l c o m e t o H o l l y w o o d !
