What we are doing… • Guiding 72,000 youth in KS 4-H programs • 4-H members are twice as likely to attend college & pursue careers in science, engineering & computer tech. What we are doing… • Develop new crop varieties suited to KS climate • Reduce food loss caused by insects, poor storage, & processing techniques • ID ways to maintain cattle rangeland • Helping families stretch their food dollars

What we are doing… • Breeding new drought-tolerant varieties of crops • Developing more efficient irrigation & water monitoring systems for farm & home use • Working with land owners to reduce sedimentation into reservoirs & improve surface water quality • Developing 50-year water policy
