The "Measuring Up" report details a proposed framework by Defenders of Wildlife to create credible and consistent metrics for assessing habitat quantity and quality for fish and wildlife. This initiative aims to enhance the management of biodiversity through a public/private partnership by identifying effective measures, fostering cross-jurisdictional collaboration, and connecting site and landscape scales. A unified approach will lead to reduced costs, improved outcomes, and better communication, while also supporting climate change adaptations and job creation.
