Information • Cyprus has 5 small cities: Nicosia (capital), Limassol, Larnaca, Famagusta, Pafos, Kerynia. • About 35.4% of the Republic's territory is under Turkish army occupation since the summer of 1974, while a further 1.8% forms part of the buffer zone along the cease-fire line Cyprus Educational Reform Association

  5. Result of the war • Cyprus after 1974 when Turkish invention occurred was divided into two parts. • The result was that over 200,000 people lose their houses and became refugees in their own Country! Cyprus Educational Reform Association
