  1. 25th April 1915 the Australia and New Zealand Army Corps land at Gallipoli

  2. The campaign lasted 8 months

  3. 8,700 Australians and 2,700 New Zealanders died in the fighting

  4. Australia lost more soldiers in WWI in proportion to its population than any other country
