Emily Dickinson, a renowned poet, lived during the 19th century, a time ripe with social change and exploration of personal expression. She spent her life largely in solitude with her mother and sister, transforming her loneliness into profound poetry centered on love, death, and nature. Despite battling fear and doubt, Dickinson's determination to write and connect with the world around her strengthened her legacy. Although her work gained little recognition during her lifetime, she is now celebrated as one of the most influential poets in American literature.
