  1. Movie Maker Project Art and Artists throughout the World

  2. Work in Groups of 2 or 3 • Draw from a hat to pick your Region • Middle East • Africa • South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan) • China • Japan • Korea • The goal of the project is to highlight modern artists from the cultures we learn about this year

  3. Each Group • Musicians • TV/Movie Stars • Athletes • Artists (Paint, Sculpture, etc.) • Your project must highlight 15 people total, minimum 2 from each group

  4. Images • Search the Internet • Save to flash drive • Import to Movie Maker

  5. Sound • Here are some great sites where you can download free sounds:http://freeplaymusic.com (you can search different terms, i.e., news, war, etc.)http://www.incompetech.com (click on Royalty-Free Music) • The sounds should compliment your video • Begin during title and end with credits

  6. Text • For each group/person • Text before group of graphics • Art, Music, Athlete, etc. • Text on graphic for each individual • Name, sport/instrument/art • Text after graphic for each individual • 2 facts about individual

  7. Text - Title • Name of Region • Title of Project

  8. Text – Credits • Group Members Names • Date – Year in Roman Numerals • Works Cited • For biographical facts, not pictures

  9. Day 1 • Pick Group • Pick Region • Go to Computer lab • Pick 15 people • Each person picks 5 or 8 & 7 • Hand in list Monday

  10. Day 2 • Begin saving images on WMM • Write and save facts about your people • Complete all 15 to hand in next day • 1 picture for each person • 2 facts for each person

  11. Day 3 • Add pictures to Windows Movie Maker • Add pictures to video • Add text to Windows Movie Maker • Follow directions from Robbins teacher website

  12. Day 4 • Add Music – Use websites listed on music slide
