SPP: “Needs Assistance” Criteria for Determination • SPP Non-compliance Indicators 9/10: Disproportionate representation is the result of inappropriate identification OR Indicators 11, 12, 13: Failure to demonstrate 95% compliance for each indicator • Valid, Reliable and Timely Data Noncompliance: failure to meet the PID Error Rate Standard for the summer and fall collection. SPP UpdatesSPP 7: Early Childhood Outcomes • Continue collecting data on all students 3-5 years of age • Timeline • The ENTRY COSF must be completed within 30 school days (not calendar days) of the student beginning special education services. • The EXIT COSF should be completed as soon as possible after the student stops receiving services. http://www.tea.state.tx.us/special.ed/spp/ecofaq.html Happy Thanksgiving from ESC-2!

  16. SPP 11 and SPP 12Child Find and Early Childhood Transition • 2007-2008 – All Certified!! • 2008-2009 – Continue to gather the data with current special education population. Happy Thanksgiving from ESC-2!

SPP 13Secondary Transition • The data collection for 2008-2009 will be done directly by TEA.  They are working on the system, but it is not in place until sometime in the spring.  It will require a TEASE account, but that cannot be obtained for Indicator 13 until the system is ready.  TEA will be doing training on that in the spring when that system is ready. Regional Dayschool Program for the Deaf Discussion:Robert Garcia, Nori Mora and Kimberly Cook • In Region 2: 27 out of 47 school districts belong to a Shared Service Arrangement for a Regional Day School for the Deaf. • TEA encourages all districts to belong to a SSA.
