  2. GAME PLAY Basketball is played between two teams of five players whose goal is to put the ball in the basket hoop. 4 quarters of 10 minutes. The watch stop when the game is not in play. You can bounce, pass or shoot.

  4. AREA An attacking player without the ball can not stay there more than 3 seconds. Central Circle: jump by 2. Midline: 8 seconds to cross and field behind.

  5. Free throw area

  6. Players 5 players each team: • Point guard (1) • Shooting guard (2) • Small forward (3) • Power forward (4) • Center (5)

  7. Score goals worth: • Standard field: 2 points • Outside three-point line: 3 points • Free throw: 1 point

  8. Compliance Times Possession Time: 24 seconds Time to move to the opposite side: 8 seconds Time attacking in the free throw area: 3 seconds Time-out: 1 minute.

  9. VIOLATIONS Travel: 3 or more steps with the ball. Double Dribble: Stop dribling and begin dribling again. Bounce over the shoulder Throwing the ball into the air and catching it. Dribble with both hands at once.

  10. Violations Foot: When the ball is played below the knee. Back Field. After the ball is taken to the opponent´s side of the court, the ball can not bea taken back to the other side of the court again.

  11. Violations • PERSONAL FOUL: • Is a physical contact with an opponent with ball or without. • Can be made in attack (when my team has the ball) or • In Defense when the opponnet has the ball • When a player do the 5 th foul leave the match.

  12. Personal Foul • Shooting: • The player who is shooting receive a personal foul. • that this shot not come in, • then that player is entitled to 2 or 3 free throws according to the place from which he throw. • or that the shot come in, • then the throw up to the scoreboard (2 or 3 points) and also the player can make a free throw.

  13. Personal Foul • Fouls when there is not shot. • In this case we look at how many fouls has accumulated during that period the team that does it. • If it takes less than 5 will be a throw in. • If it takes 5 or more will be made 2 free throws.

  14. Unsportmanlike • Personal fouls brazenly made with no intention of playing the ball. • Will be resolved with 2 free throws for the player who received it and the possesion in a throw in for his team.
