Teddy Bear Robot Nurse • RIBA • Robot for Interactive Body Assistence  • The Japanese created a teddy bear robot that lifts elderly from chairs/beds • Recognizes faces and voices and also responds to voice commands • Weighs 400lb and can lift up to 134lb in its foam padded paws • Looks like a bear to make it less frightening to the patients

(For example, misunderstood voice commands/faces) • The robot can go haywire and cause damage • Equality of Access • Only elderly patients get the RIBA use • The robot is only available in Japan • Reliabilty • The robots might not work the way you want them to • Robots may not function at all • People and Machines •  Some people may feel uncomfortable in the hands of a robot
