Administration • You will have the following kit list given to you before camp, you must make sure you have all the kit stated. • REMEMBER-Camp may be challenging at times, give your 101% and you will get a lot out of it. • You will need to maintain a high standard of kit, this is important as there will be other cadets from other units, we need to show that we are the best, don’t worry the NCO’s will help you.

Kit List • Combat Jacket 95 • Combat Trousers 95 • Combat/green shirts • Pullover, heavy duty (if issued) • Socks • Boots and spare laces • Boot cleaning kit • Beret and badge • Trainers • Gloves • Waterproofs (civilian) • Sports kit (including school rugby shirt) • Swimming kit • Washing kit • Towels • Civilian clothing • Sleeping bag • Torch and spare batteries • Water bottle • Knife/fork/spoon/mug • Notebook and pen • Sunscreen • Insect repellent • Personal medical kit (any personal medication + blister kit etc.) • Padlock • Small back pack • Main luggage bag

Camp Daily Routine. • 0630 hrs Reveille • 0630-0800 hrs Breakfast • 0730 hrs Morning Sick Parade • 0745 hrs Collect weapons (Sunday & Monday only) • 0800 hrs Mil Training Parade (Sunday and Monday only) • 0830 hrs First parade (Block and area inspection) • 0845 hrs Depart for training • 1230-1300 hrs Lunch (Packed meals) • 1630 hrs (approx) Training ends • 1715 hrs Hand in Weapons (Sunday and Monday only) • 1730 hrs Daily Conference (Contingent Commander only) • 1730-1830 hrs Evening meal (Cadets) • 1845-1930 hrs Evening meal (Adults) • 1830 hrs Evening sick parade • 2000 hrs Daily Contingent Briefing • 2030-2200 NAAFI • 2230 hrs Bed check • 2300 hrs Lights out

Saturday 10th July • You will leave from school and take approx 6 hours to get to Nesscliff, on the bus the CSM and C/Sgt’s will provide in-flight entertainment including- “Wheels on the Bus”. • N.B. YOU MUST BE AT SCHOOL BY 0830 • Once you have arrived at camp you will need to listen to the NCO’s instructions and follow their orders, it will be a bit daunting but we will be there as a team. • Once you have arrived into your billet you will sort out personal admin and the billet NCO’s will teach you how to make your beds. • In the evening there will be time to go to the NAAFI. (Little tip though, get your head down early, as you need as much sleep as you can).

  7. Sunday 11th July • DCCT • Section Attacks • Patrol Harbours and Basha building • Camouflage and concealment and patrol observation skills • Signals • (Cup of tea and a biscuit)

  8. Every Evening • After dinner, there is a briefing for the following day followed by kit prep. • After that you will be able to spend some time in the NAAFI as well as making sure the billets are clean. (This will be part of every evening routine)

  9. Monday12th JulyMil Skills run by 32/37 CTT • CQB and patrol lane • Ammo re-supply • Minefield evacuation • Vehicle check point • Escape and evasion • Hostage rescue

  10. Tuesday 13th JulyAT1 - Patrolling • Hill patrolling • Map reading • Briefing on Fauna and Flora • Challenges and tests en route • History

  11. Wednesday 14th JulyAT2 – Kayaking/canoeing • Capsize drills • Kayaking/canoeing • Volleyball/football competition

  12. Thursday 15th JulyAT3 – Rock climbing/abseiling • Climbing • Abseiling • Local route walking

  13. Thursday Night • Prize giving. • (N.B. before the prize giving and on your return from climbing all blocks cleaned and kit packed away).

  14. Friday 16th July • Coach arrives 0830 • We depart 0900 • Arrive back at THS approximately 1500 • Time for one more week at school!
