  1. May 10, 2011 Sponsored by Story PTA STORYTELLER Principal’s Corner The mediocre teacher tells.  The good teacher explains.  The superior teacher demonstrates.  The great teacher inspires.  ~William Arthur Ward Seventeen years ago, I never would have dreamed I would be the principal of such an incredible school.  I knew, way back then, that I had a calling to touch the lives of young people.  I was inspired by several wonderful teachers who believed in me and who made a tremendous difference in the direction of my life.  I am truly blessed to be able to come to work each day and see the wonderful things happening inside these walls. Once again, I am truly inspired. Our teachers and staff work hard each day, because they love the students they work with and want to see them be successful.  We’d like to flood the staff with emails, letters, and cards of appreciation and gratitude for their hard work and dedication to the students at Story Elementary.  Don’t forget the Specials Teachers, Support Staff and everyone that does their part in our wonderful Story community.  This is your chance to let them all know how much you care and appreciate their hard work! Thank you for helping to make this a special week for our teachers. We also want to thank the PTA who will be pampering the staff this week by hosting a lunch on Thursday on behalf of the parents. Story is a very special place thanks to the dedicated professionals and volunteers who work hand in hand to ensure the daily success of our students! Reading for Pie! You’ve already read over 1,000 books! If the students of Story can read 5,000 books by May 13, Mrs. Coffman and Mr. Rupert will have a pie eating contest during Field Day. Get reading, Story!
