HUNE commenced with one staff and now has six staffers who provide training, individual and technical assistance for parents of children with disabilities, and three volunteers. Since our inception, HUNE has provided services through training, meeting, individual assistance, and technical assistance to over 14,064 low-income, often socially isolated Hispanic parents and caregivers of children who have disabilities, youth with disabilities, and professionals who work with them in Philadelphia. • Philadelphia HUNE has been funded by The Federal Department of Education for its twelve years of existence, and individual donors and Foundations also fund HUNE.
