  4. Wake Tech enrollment growth driven by: • Population growth • Unemployment • High quality • Low cost

  5. Wake Tech must build capacity to serve the community’s needs. • Unemployment • Wait Lists • Skills Mis-match • Growth Projections

  6. WAKE TECH BOND REFERENDUM $200,000,000 November 6, 2012

  7. $200 million Bond Referendum The bonds will fund these projects: • Northern Wake Campus • Public Safety Education Campus • Renovations and repairs • RTP Campus

  15. NO tax increase is required for the building projects.

  16. Bond funding will enable Wake Tech to provide education and training to 24,000 more people each year.

  17. Bond funding will expand training in high-demand fields: • Health Care • Information Technology • Financial Services • Simulations/Mobile Apps • Entrepreneurship

  18. Bond funding will help meet job market needs: • Train more students for high-demand jobs • Attract businesses that bring jobs • Create up to 2,000 local construction jobs • Create up to 3,000 support jobs
