  2. Interview • I interviewed my dad. • He said the main objects to being successful is stand placement, shot placement, and to pay attention, “always keep your eyes moving, even if your mind is not paying attention.”

  4. Cost • The license and tags plus that of equipment will consist of most of the cost. • Over the span of a couple years the cost of bow hunting will grow and grow.

  5. Cost Continued… • It all depends on what quality equipment you buy. The better the equipment the more expensive the cost, the cheaper the less the cost will be. • If you have a tight budget you can still go hunting. Just go and buy decent stuff and try to find good deals.

  6. When • You bow hunt for whitetails in early fall to the beginning of gun season, then after gun season the late season opens for deer.

  7. Skills • Skills you will need are: • The ability to sit still • The ability to BE QUIET • You have to be quiet getting to and from your stand • You have to be quiet in your stand • You need to be able to shoot a bow and arrow accurately • You need to know how to track

  8. You want to hit the vitals on the deer. Vitals include: Heart Lungs Liver If you hit any of these parts you will usually kill the animal. Shot Placement

  9. Good stand places are places like funnels and crick crossings as well as fence lines, field edges, marshes, swamps, and acorn flats are good places. What to look for when finding a stand location Rubs Scrapes Trails Tracks Sheds Droppings Stand Placement and Scouting

  10. You don’t have to be in great shape but you want to have some sort of stamina If you want to be lazy don’t walk very far from the truck, and use a four-wheeler to pull your deer out. If you want to be ahead of those lazy people and shoot big bucks. Get in the most isolated place possible. You don’t want bad hunters to screw up your hunt. Fitness

  11. Conclusion • In conclusion, deer hunting is fun and exciting. You get to be in nature and witness the wonders the outdoors. The adrenaline rush you get when that deer steps out in your opening is can’t be described, and seeing your deer laying on the trail ahead of you is the best feeling in the world. Hunting is something that will never go away
