  4. WHY A MEN’s SHED • Men normally work in groups • Retired men may lack a social circle • Retired men may lose their sense of self worth • Men find it hard to discuss problems • Men’s shed provides social interaction whilst having fun

AIMS OF A MEN’s SHED • To actively pursue hobbies and pastimes. • To be a place to go and relax, drink a cuppa. • To discuss issues, share concerns, talk and have a laugh, knowing you are among friends. • To work on projects that will aid the community and a positive sense of achievement. • To share skills and interests, swap ideas and pass on knowledge. • To harness the energy of our members to encourage others and promote general well-being.
