Kit List • Waterproof tops & bottoms, a buoyancy aid, a helmet and a wetsuit (if appropriate) are supplied. • To bring: • Packed lunch for first day (needs to be disposable) • A refillable water bottle for the whole visit • Please make sure you have enough clothes - at least 3 changes of warm dry clothing • Clothes for getting wet - swimming costume • (trunks or one piece), jogging bottoms, shorts, t-shirts etc • Sturdy walking boots or trainers to wear and keep dry • A pair of trainers / shoes you don't mind getting wet/dirty for use during activities. • Hat for sun and a hat to keep warm

Sunglasses • Sun block, lotion or cream, lip balm, after sun and mosquito spray • Toiletries in a wash bag (toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, deodorant) • Bath towel x2 • Sleeping bag and pillow • Nightwear (pyjamas – onesies) • Bin bag to take wet kit home in! • Please remember it may be hot, cold or even raining. • Tea Towel • Torch and batteries • ALL ITEMS MUST BE CLEARLY NAMED

  5. For specific activities you will be expected to be wearing the following items of clothing Wet Activities • T- shirt – must cover the elbow • Long shorts – to the knees • Wet shoes/ old trainers (full toe protection) Dry Activities • Long sleeved top • Trousers or long shorts • Trainers

  6. Also you will need • A packed lunch for the first day. Please put this in a plastic bag rather than a lunch box so that rubbish can be thrown away. Ensure that a drink is provided in addition to the water bottle that was requested on the original kit list.

  7. What to leave at home.... • Ipods, MP3’s, radios, TV’s, digital camera • Computer games • Mobile phones • Best clothes • Any valuables including jewellery If you value it – Leave it at home!

  8. You may bring.... • Disposable camera (you will be responsible for it) • A packet of sweets or crisps to share with your friends This also needs to be handed to your class teacher as no food is allowed in the tents • You will not need spending money

Medical Requirements • Any medicines required for your child during their visit, must be clearly labelled with your child’s name and instructions on how it should be administered, including the dosage. • Mrs Stevens and Mrs Hearfield would like to see parents before you leave tonight, they will read a list at the end.

  11. Medical Requirements • Medicines should be handed into Mrs Stevens/Mrs Hearfield (our first aiders), on the morning of departure. • Asthma inhalers must be named and kept by the child themselves, as they will need to take them to every activity.

  12. Sleeping Arrangements • Children will sleep in either a wooden cabin or a tent • You will need your own sleeping bag and pillow. • Children have completed their slips and the Y6 teachers will try their best to arrange that every child has at least ONE person from the list in with them

  13. Departure and Return • On Wednesday 27th June please meet us at school at 9.00am this means you can come straight in. • On arrival report to your class teacher to be registered. • Parents must hand all medication, clearly labelled, to Mrs Stevens / Mrs Hearfield.

  14. Departure and Return • You child will need to be able to carry their own luggage so please pack belongings in a sensible sized bag or small suitcase. • Remember your packed lunch and drink for the first day.

Departure and Return • We will be returning on Friday 29th June and you will be able to collect your child, from Tuffley library at approximately 2:30pm • Your child must be collected by an appropriate adult – if circumstances change and you need someone else to collect your child please let the office know.
