  3. Some additonal remarks • For some technically ‘co-sponsored conferences (TCS), the ‘Local’ organizing country represent up to 50% (China, Korea) Now ‘every year’ a ‘NPSS’ conference Huge increase of TCS events Asia is coming ! Knoxville -ADCOM/TNC

Future ‘Transnational’ Conferences *Technically Co-sponsored • 2011 • NSS-MIC - Valencia (Spain) • ICALEPCS - Grenoble (France) • ANIMMA - Gent (Belgium) • SCINT - Giessen (Germany) • RADECS - Sevilla (Spain) • 2012 • ICOPS - Edimburg (UK) • 2013 • NSS-MIC - Seoul (Korea) • 2014 • RTC - Kyoto/Nara (Japan) under investigation ! • NSREC/RADECS - Paris (France) TBC Knoxville -ADCOM/TNC

ANIMMA 2011Gent (Belgium) - June 6- 9th • Second edition (after Marseille 2009) • Organized by Belgium SCK-CEN • Expect 350 participants • IEEE NPSS is strongly involved in the organization • TCP - MOU is ready to be signed using the new IEEE template (POCO2010) • 2 NPSS ADCOM members in the Sterring committee • 2 NPSS (RITC) members in the scientific committee • Paper evaluation • 5 NPSS members in the organizing committee (over 18) • Paper selection • Proceeding editor in Xplore • Associates TNS/TPS Editors Knoxville -ADCOM/TNC

Summary & Conclusions • Increasing number NPSS Transnational events • Asia - Pacific is now coming (China,Korea,Japan) • Not a copy-past of North American conferences • Need close contact with ‘local’ institutions and administration • Technically co-sponsored are growing • But some ‘coaching’ and very close contact with NPSS is necessary • From my experiences (NSS-MIC, RTC, ANIMMA ..) • Some simple ‘examples’ and feedbacks would help the future local organizors (MOU, IEEE forms … publications) and avoid misunderstanding and delays …. • Next action ---> put these infos in TNC web site Knoxville -ADCOM/TNC
