What is an Achievement Plan and What it it’s Purpose? • An achievement plan is a living breathing document that demonstrates a CM’s progress through your program. • It’s includes narratives, goal setting, hard data, student reflections, work samples, certificatesand awards, and more that can be used by the CM and the agency to demonstrate achievement toward benchmarks. • It is a document that is used by both staff and CM to reflect on and demonstrate their progress and successes while in program.

  5. A Review of Benchmarks a. Goal and Mission of organization and how an achievement plan fits into the process of tracking benchmarks for CM success. • Corps must know what they envision as success to set corpsmember achievement goals for success • Benchmark must be clearly articulated and built into the program, supported by the whole agency. Programming and schedule must support benchmarks. • Benchmarks must be tracked and measured.

  8. How do we make the achievement plan process manageable • Student partnerships in development ease staff coordination time • They are a key component it putting it together • Structured time is used for students to update plan; you make the copies; they add it to the file; you can do a quick check in to make sure CM understands what they are adding to their plan • One on One review sessions should happen quarterly to update goals and review new data and progress on benchmarks.

  9. .How do we make this an ongoing, living, breathing document? • How do we be certain that Corpsmembers are involved in the creation and relevance of an achievement plan? • We make it a priority. • We make sure it’s supported agency wide.
