5.1 – MIDSEGMENT THEOREM

The Midsegment Theorem states that the segment connecting the midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side and half its length. This theorem helps in solving various triangle-related problems, including finding lengths of sides. For example, given segments UW = 4x - 1 and YZ = 5x + 4, you can apply the theorem to establish relationships among these lengths.
