Needs Analysis • The Digital Divide • Middle aged & the elderly people have missed out on opportunities to learn about technology • Many classes offered through businesses or colleges are too difficult for seniors & middle aged students • When these students were in school, technology classes were not offered
Problem Statement • The Central Gwinnett Community (Lawrenceville, GA) does not offer the type of classes to give seniors and middle aged students the opportunity to learn technology skills.
Learners • Age 40+, predominantly female • Knowledge of Excel & Word is very limited • Below average computer skills & little prior knowledge • Psychomotor skills such as using a mouse are elementary and insufficient • Visual/tactile learners • Self motivated, knowledge seeking
