Characterization of Atmospheric Boundary Layer in Amazon Forest and Pasture: ABRACOS/RBLE Studies

This study explores the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) characteristics over forest and pasture regions in the Amazon, comparing measurements from ABRACOS/RBLE during the dry season (1999) and the wet season (1999). Utilizing data from notable sites such as Faz. N. S. Aparecida and Rebio Jaru, we analyze entrainment processes, the development of the convective boundary layer (CBL), and the residual layer in varying conditions. Our findings contribute to understanding the diurnal cycle and how rainfall influences ABL dynamics, revealing crucial interactions within this vital ecosystem.
