  26. 10% 8% 8% 7% UniversityLMS/LCMS users satisfaction 1/2 • reasons for users’ dissatisfaction

  27. Universityopen questions 1/2 • Poor project planning and organicity • most italian universities lack a structure which coordinates e-learning related activities: proliferation of several experiences and coexistence of different environments and resources within the same university • From sporadic event to system • it is necessary to turn into system, to transform into strategy what for universities was born as a research project or as the initiative of a single person or of a few people. As far as the LMS/LCMS platforms introduction is concerned there is an attempt to concentrate the management of those resources at a dedicated centre or at a university project level

  28. Universityopen questions 2/2 • FLOSS solutions: trust in words, mistrust in deeds • there is, in many situations, a mistrust towards the use of the Free and Open Source Software, despite the ways adopted to introduce the environments lead to the development of FLOSS solutions indipendently and separatedly from well-estabilished initiatives • FLOSS Problems with introducing LMS/LCMS platforms? They are more related to the system than to technologies!! • dissatisfaction towards online educational environments depend mostly on problems that rise from a managerial structure which is unable to adequately manage the didactic and organizational complexity due to the introduction of new technological solutions related to didactics
