  3. 1. Seat Number • If the candidate appears for more than one semester during that Examination, seat number for same candidate is different for different semesters. • If a candidate is regular Student for 4th Semester, but he has to appear for 3rd & 2nd Semester also, he will be allotted 3 different Seat Numbers. • In such case his status for 4th semester is “ R” and “X “for 3rd and 2nd semester. When Status of Candidate is “X”, his Seat No. of Latest Examination for that semester , he had attended must be mentioned. • In the Summer 2012 online Exam Form data same Candidate has filled exam form for semester/year with different parameters as displayed on website. Correction in the data is expected as early as possible .

Enrollment Number • Enrollment plays a major role in declaring result of candidate. • Enrollment for every student is unique and is same throughout his diploma/ Advance diploma/post graduate diploma education. • Even for change of branch, change of Institute/double diploma, Enrollment number remains same • Check enrollment No of the Candidate with the enrollment register issued by MSBTE . First two digits implies the year of admission of that Candidate in case if he is enrolled before academic year 2009-2010. If he is enrolled in 2009-2010 ,first Two digits implies year of admission, next four digits implies Institute Code & last Four digits represent Sr. No. of candidates of the Institute.

  5. Cases of Wrong Enrollment Number • Blank Enrollment No. • Same Enrollment Number mentioned in Main seating chart for two different candidates. • Two different enrollment numbers mentioned to single Candidate in Main seating chart during previous examination

Effect of Wrong Enrollment Number While declaring the results of candidates of 2nd, 4th & 6th semester ,subject status(pass/fail) of 1st, 2nd & 3rd semester are required to decide the eligibility of candidate for next semester. Here Enrollment Number is of prime importance. Any of the above wrong enrollment cases lead to wrong updating of history of subject of 1st, , 3rd & 5th, semester to 2nd, 4th, & 6th Semester, So it is of prime importance to check, add and correct the wrong enrollment number of the candidate. ‘Updation of history of subject’ concept is discussed in detail Last Exam, Last Seat No head

  7. 3. Last Exam, Last Seat No. Last Exam Last Seat Number terms appear only in case of “X” students. Cases of wrong Last Exam, Last Seat Number • Blank Last Exam, Last Seat Number   • Correct Last Exam but incorrect Seat Number • Correct Seat Number but incorrect Last Exam. • Both Last Exam, Last Seat No. incorrect

Effect of wrong Last Exam, Last Seat Number • Any of the above cases leads to wrong updation of subject history • Also any of the above cases leads to RHR. •  Due care must be taken to eliminate RHR cases. • History Updation : If candidate is fail in one of the subjects , his marks for already passed subjects is taken from History Table which in turn is retrieved from candidate’s previous latest year of Examination he had appeared & his seat number for that semester .MSBTE refers this as Last Exam, Last Seat.

  9. Contd.. • In future examinations, for ‘X’ candidates, the seating chart will show history of subject appearing in the examination. This history will be taken from details of last examination attended by the candidate while filling online exam form. • For summer 2012 examination seating chart are updated by MSBTE incorporating above feature & will be made available on website for reference for all concern.

Contd.. • Cases mentioning incorrect Last Exam, Last Seat Number must be corrected only after confirming from latest result gazette. •  In case of regular Student,i.e.appearing for the first time for that Semester, there will not be any Last Exam , Last Seat Number and status of candidate will always be “R”. • Correct Last Exam, Last Seat Number must be mentioned in Main seating chart by reffering Gazatte of the recent exam appeared by the student for that semester.

  11. 4.Status of the candidate • Regular candidate are those who appear for the first time for that particular Semester /year. “R” status is for Regular candidate. • “X” status is for those candidates who are appearing for second or more time for that particular semester /year. • In case of X -Student correct last exam, last seat No. for that semester must be mentioned,by reffering Gazatte of the recent exam appeared by the student for that semester.

  12. 5. Subject details Subject details for ‘X’ candidate can be check by comparing the main seating chart with W-09,S-09,W-08, S-08 gazette etc. whichever is applicable. Main Seating Chart showing Subject details for ‘R’ candidate will be a total BLANK space as he has to appear for all the subjects of that semester/year. There will not be any back History of any of the subjects

  13. Different Cases for Subject Details • Passed previously : # symbol is used to indicate Subject which candidate has previously passed. Marks carry forwarded followed by # symbol represent those subjects the candidate has passed.These details are retrieved from the year of recent exam student had appeared & his seat no. of that exam for that semester/year.

Contd.. • Fail in previous Theory Exam : When a candidate is fail in previous exam and wants to appear in next exam there will be Blank space below TH subject abbreviation and his previous test marks are followed by # symbol and again blank space for AG. Blank space below OR/PR indicates fail in that head in previous exam & student is appearing in next exam. Absent in TM is not valid as TM has 00 passing.

Contd.. • Regular student Appearing for Summer 2012 : In case of regular student, since he is appearing for the first time for that semester, every spaces below subject abbreviation will be blank . Blank space below all subject head abbreviations represent candidate is appearing for all the subjects of that semester.

  16. Contd.. • Exemption in subjects : EX below the TH subject head abbreviation followed by Ex in Test & also in Aggregate . In case of exemption in TH (Theory), TM (Test) and AG is marked with EX. In case of exemption in OR/PR/TW exemption Exis marked below that head.

  17. Contd.. • Optional subjects: OPT is marked below all the heads of that subject (TH, TM.PR, OR, TW) Abbreviation. If any of the heads of optional subject is not marked with OPT results to RHR.

Contd.. • Availing facility of condonation in particular subject : If Student has availed the facility of Condonation in 1st,3rd, or 5th Semester, @ sign in 1st,3rd, or 5th Semester will change to ‘ K ’ in seating chart/gazette of 2nd ,4th or 6th semester . When Condonation facility is given to a student ,his status must be distinction,first class,second class,pass with condonation & not ATKT.

  19. Contd.. • If you find marks less than minimum marks required for passing for that subject , below subject head abbreviation followed by #, *, o, K, or any other Symbol, inform MSBTE immediately. • For Eg. If you find 14 marks(consider 28 is minimum passing) followed by # sign or followed by ‘K’ i.e. 14# or 16K or blank space followed by * inform MSBTE immediately

  20. Contd.. • Marks followed by incorrect symbols for that subjects changes result status drastically. Eg. Candidate get condonation for 26 marks in 1st,3rd, or 5th Semester but marks are written as 26* or 26 @ in his result of 2nd ,4th or 6th semester ,he will be declared as fail instead of pass.

  21. 6. Name of the candidate • Name should be as mentioned on S.S.C mark sheet. • No Name Correction will be entertained by MSBTE after declaring results. • Name mentioned at the time of enrollment will be reflected on every result mark sheet and final Diploma certificate. • Precautions should be taken to add correct name of candidate while filling online Exam Form of the candidate.

  22. Students mentioned in Seating Chart • Students appeared for summer 2012 exam and whose seat numbers are allotted by MSBTE or seat No. generated late by MSBTE must exist in main seating chart. • No complaint will be entertained by MSBTE for not declaration of result. Whose seat numbers are not mentioned in the seating chart. Hence it is necessary to point out the students whose seat numbers are not found in the main seating chart.

  23. Contd.. • Each and every student appearing for summer 2012 exam. must be mentioned in the main seating chart. • No complaint will be entertained by MSBTE for not declaration of result in case of candidates whose seat no. are generated late. • Candidates who are punished in copying case and are not eligible to appear in summer 2012 exam, need not be mentioned in the Main seating chart. If you find any student who is not eligible but has filled online exam form & found in the seating chart inform MSBTE IMMEDIATELY

  24. Contd.. • APPEAR CODE • Appear Code ‘ X’ indicates that the candidate is DELETED from the result declaring Software System . Hence appear code column must be checked for every candidate of your Institute. Status ‘X’ & appear code ‘X’ are two different important entities.
