  1. Copper Etching Summative Assessment

  2. Objective: Create a matching set of jewelry (bracelet and earrings) that incorporate copper etching techniques, pattern and texture. Why? To demonstrate/practice another type of surface treatment for creating and embellishing jewelry.

  3. Requirements- Matching set of cuff bracelet and post earrings- No rectangles or squares for outer shape- Etching must demonstrate detailed and neat pattern/texture.Your bracelet and earrings must both incorporate jump rings AND beads! As always…NO FORBIDDEN SUBJECT MATTER.If you use f.s.m., I will not accept it for a grade.- Correct sawing, filing, and sanding techniques must be used.- If you haven’t paid your fee, you get 3 sawblades and that’s IT! Every sawblade after that is 25 cents.

  4. Planning Sketch out 3 COMPLETELY different outer shape/design ideas for your bracelet/earring set. *Your designs should also show where/how you are going to use jump rings and beads. *How are you going to divide up your bracelet?* Remember – you are using earring posts, not fish-hooks! When all of your sketches are approved, you will be given metal and your sawblades. Your sketches should be completed no later than Tuesday! This project is due Wednesday, Jan. 22 at the end of class!
