Cost-Benefit Analysis of New SDC Position for Cambrian School District

This document outlines the cost-benefit analysis of establishing a new Specialized Day Class (SDC) position within the Cambrian School District, prepared by Dr. Mark W. Loos. The new position will cost $100,000, while the current cost of students in county classes is around $40,000. By housing seven Cambrian students and one returning student, the total savings will reach $320,000, resulting in a net savings of $220,000. The initiative aims to enhance control over IEPs, support students with similar disabilities, and foster a sense of community by keeping students in their local schools.
