TeraGrid SAB Charter • Provide advice to the TeraGrid Forum and the NSF TeraGrid Program Officer on a wide spectrum of scientific and technical activities within or involving the TeraGrid • Consider the progress and quality of these activities, their balance, and the TeraGrid's interactions with the national and international research community • Provide advice on future TeraGrid plans • Identify synergies between TeraGrid activities and related efforts in other agencies • Promote the TeraGrid mission and its activities in the national and international community • Provide help in nurturing and expanding the TeraGrid community

TeraGrid SAB … • Helps TeraGrid and NSF understand opportunities • Those that have been overlooked in TG execution • Those overlooked in planning • Those that are new visions to be embraced • Helps TeraGrid and NSF present capabilities • To users • To the annual external NSF review • In order to: Build a more unified TeraGrid and enhancing the progress of those aspects of academic research and education that require high-end computing
