In February 2013, the Mo Farah Foundation collaborated with Tauheedul Relief Trust and pupils from Tauheedul Islam Girls High School for a meaningful shoe box distribution project. Students crafted personalized shoe boxes filled with essentials and thoughtful items centered around the themes of Eat, Sleep, Learn, and Play. After a wait of nearly five weeks for delivery, the boxes brought joy to nearly 200 children at an orphanage. With excitement, the children unwrapped their gifts for the first time, sharing their joy and messages of hope and prayer contained within each box.

Mo Farah Foundation shoe box distribution project In association with Tauheedul relief trust Feb 2013
In February 2013 the Mo Farah Foundation partnered with Tauheedul relief trust and pupils from the Tauheedul Islam Girls High school to take part in a shoe box distribution project. The pupils spent weeks personally creating & designing shoe boxes that they filled with items based on Eat, sleep, Learn and Play. The shoe boxes were dispatched in February and It took nearly 5 weeks for them to arrive. Here’s what happened when they did………………….
The boxes arrived at the orphanage in bags – the children did not know what was inside.
The children were all called into the main area and gather around for a surprise.
The children opened their boxes with excitement and curiosity. What could some of the items be?
The children loved their items and soon wanted to know what each other had.
For some of the children this was the first time ever receiving a gift.
The children shared with each other and the elders helped read out the messages & written letters.
The children enjoyed their new prayer mats and writing equipment.
The manager of the orphanage left this message…..‘These gifts achieved great success and draws the smile for 198 faces of children it became the best surprise they had ever had. Thanks to mo Farah foundation, the children who gave their effort for preparing these boxes and everyone who participating and collecting these gifts’
