  2. Program and Pledge A COLLEGE DEGREE IN EVERY HOME IN SANTA ANA BY 2020. Santa Ana ¡Adelante! is a partnership between the Santa Ana Unified School District, Santa Ana College and California State University, Fullerton ensuring a pathway to college beginning in the 6th grade.

  3. Program and Pledge Santa Ana ¡Adelante! guarantees participating students priority registration at Santa Ana College and guaranteed transfers to attend CSUF, where they will complete their bachelor’s degree.

  4. Program and Pledge • Continued and coordinated early outreach efforts and college-bound activities for both parents and students, 9th through 12th grade, led by Achieving College, a network of high school counselors and outreach staff from SAC and CSUF. • CSUF will guarantee college admission to all SAUSD students who complete all transfer requirements at SAC and successfully meet CSUF admissions standards. • SAUSD seniors will receive priority registration to SAC for the fall semester prior to graduating from high school. • The city of Santa Ana will promote the Santa Ana Futures scholarship as part of its annual employee payroll deduction program, providing continuing financial support. • All SAUSD students attending SAC will receive individual assistance to ensure they access all available financial assistance while at SAC.

  5. Pledge SAUSD ¡Adelante! Pledge • Will be given to your seminar teacher • Must be signed by you and your parents and returned to your teacher by Feb. 10th .

  6. What are Senior Privileges? • Senior Privileges are the extra events or opportunities students receive during their senior year.

  9. Senior Showdown will be held April 24th – May 4thDuring CST Testing! Senior Showdown will be held in April during testing!

  10. Prom PROM Saturday May 19th Saturday May 19th This includes all you can eat dinner buffet and desserts! Pre-Sale Prices will begin at $85.00 w/ ASB $90.00 W/out

  11. Yearbook Signing Party June 1st : Cost will be low! Pizza and Sodas will be provided.

  12. Senior Sunset Senior Sunset June 8th, 2012 6:00pm – 8:00pm Senior Sunset will be held in the Stadium and will include food and entertainment. Cost will be approximately $25.00

  13. Senior Breakfast and Day at Knotts Date: June 11th, 2012. Cost will be approximately $40-$50 The breakfast is the only place the Senior Slideshow will be shown!

  14. On campus Grad Night Party and Dave & Busters! • Wednesday Night, June13th • Tickets will start at $80.00 • This price includes: • the on campus party, • transportation, • all night buffet • D&B Night Club, hypnotist show, free games, • Prices will go up each week!

  15. Graduation Wednesday, June 13th @ 4.00 p.m. Eddie West Stadium Each student will receive a limited number of tickets. Graduation Rehearsal will be June 12th, 2012 @ 9:00am at the stadium If you have not yet ordered your cap and gown you need to do so immediately. The cost is $25.00. The price will increase after this date.

  16. Refunds The Activities Office will not refund senior activities if they are taken away. No Exceptions!

  17. How do I lose My Privileges?

Steps to Losing Privileges Infraction • 2nd Saturday School/Work • 3rd Saturday School/Work • 4th Saturday School/Work • 5th Saturday School/Work • Suspension Lost Privilege • Senior Sunset • Breakfast/Outing • Grad Nite at D & B • PROM • Any or all of the above and possible loss of Graduation Ceremony ** At the discretion of the principal, students are subject to having all senior privileges revoked on the first infraction if the behavior is deemed severe.

  22. Tardy Cards & Truancy Tardy Cards or Truancy (This could be period by period or all day.) Segerstrom High School prohibits ditch days. Any student who participates in a ditch day will receive a school consequence and can have privileges revoked.

  24. Dress Code Cards Dress Code Defiance = Possible loss of all Senior Privileges

  25. Classroom Disturbance or Problem

  26. Sometimes 1st time Offenses result in Suspension which could result in the loss of ALL privileges. These offenses include, but are not limited to…

  27. FIGHTING

  28. Possession of, selling, or being under The influence of any illegal substance.This includes on your way to or from school!

  29. Graffiti or Graffiti paraphernalia

  30. Senior Pranks…… • Will not be allowed or tolerated • Can be suspended/expelled • Automatically lose all Senior Privileges including Graduation Ceremony • Possible arrest

  31. What do I do with my Notification Form?

  32. Please complete the following: Read the form carefully and sign Take it home and have your parents read and sign it Give the yellow copy to your parents Bring back the white copy and return to your English teachers. All forms must be returned by Tuesday, Feb. 7th! If form is not returned, this will result in your first step towards loss of privileges.

  33. Going to College?

  34. Make sure you….. • Keep up Grades 2nd Semester – colleges are revoking admissionsbased on 2nd semester grades • Follow-up with College requests immediately (ex: transcripts) READ YOUR E-MAIL! • ALL SENIORS MUST COMPLETE THE FAFSA by March 2nd, 2012 • Look out for late nights in the HEC

  35. Community College Testing Timeline • IVC - interested seniors must see Ms. Huezo by Friday.  Registration takes place at IVC on Saturday in March. • OCC, Golden West & Coastline Community Colleges Testing on Wednesday, March 14 @ 8am in the SFHS gym • Orientation in May for SAC - testing on Friday, Feb. 3 & 8.  Students will be assigned a day. Info sent thru seminar this Wednesday. Registration:  April 26 - 30
