  2. Highlights of my Circus recount  Last week we went to a circus work shop with George. And his assistant lil. We couldn’t wait till we got in there we were as excited as buzzing bees. When we walked in we herd George yell “welcome” with his big showing. He said take your shoes of and come over here. Then we did all the stretches and they stretched you. We got counted one and two 1 went to existing Lil and that made me happy and it made me happy as well when Honoka was my partner. First we did v and it was easy you would try to full over but it was so easy that you couldn’t so we said harder so she gave us harder, so she gave us harder, and she made us do v sit down and sand back up. We thought it would be easy but it was not. We tried and tried but we couldn’t do it Lil said that’s good let’s start with bunk bed we were curious but nerves at the same time. Lil picked 3 people 2 were the spotters and one was the sitter. Lil lifted her up with all her mussels and before you knew it she was up in the air. Finally it was our turn; I was so existed I had the first go Sammie lifted me up. My holders help me get steady and it felt like I was a albatross flying through the air and the ground was the waves. I landed flat on my feet. After that it was my turn to lift people up in the air I lifted Honoka and Isabella I was lucky they were light. By Maria

  3. narrative writing Trapped I heard a series of clicks under the water. Suddenly a bottle nose popped up. The dolphin had eyes as small as a mouse and her body was as grey as the mid night sky . Her speed was like lighting across the rippling waves. Alsisa loved her home, she loved it to bits. Alsis called to the Albatross, “come on a journey under the sea”. I dived down, but as the waves hit I knew I couldn’t go. However I could listen to her stories and imagine I was there with her... I am Alsisa and me and my pod and be are of the nets but we will not get stuck in there traps. we swim for miles on end so hop on to my fin and hold on they swam for long period of time but all they saw was rubbish arrr finally some fish we can round and eat for and you can eat the left overs in the bake bean cans but it good we found some food for a change because we only see plastic on our journeys so if you litter please stop. Never mind let’s get on with our journey to the great feed but we need to go the short cut if we are going to make it so they did but Alsisa gave them some things to do well you’re in the short cut she said “we need to be sneaky like children getting chocolate cookies with milk and on the way if you see food just tell us so we can have a snack”. They swam and swam but there was no sign of food so they had a little rest to look around for some food a girl in the pod screamed because she saw some fish in the distends. They slowly went towards the group of fish near the fish they went faster but they went into a trap they got trapped in a net. Alsisa thought she was going to die down there and she was getting stress that she would never got out little did they know…

  4. Maritime museum trip Year 6 went on a trip to the maritime museum this term. We went there to find out more about our topic: ‘Change in the marine life and in the sea.’ There was an art gallery there about Change, there was one picture that looked like this; it is by Gregory O'Brien. There is another piece of art called the whale tail It looks like this: There was lots of other galleries but this was my favorite gallery.

  5. Philip dadson We have been studying about Philip Dadsonin our music lesson each week. We have learnt that he is a sound scape artist. he uses every day items to make his pieces of art he came in to our school to show us some examples of his work he showed us you could use a coke bottle as an instrument!!!!!! Here is a piece of his work

  6. Anzac art This week we have been doing art. We have started doing color mixing and we thought we could link it in our writing for Anzac Day. You can do it for any holiday, all you need is yellow, blue, red, white and black. Choose what color you like and look at the color wheel. You match your chosen color with the color on the color wheel then you make that color, you fold the page in half. Get your paint and get the color on your paint brush and do a strip on one half getting whiter down to the end and darker when you get to the top of your page. You can do the same on the other side but with a complimentary color. Then you add a black silhouette cut out of black paper which you can glue on over the painted background. We have written out our Anzac poems and will mount these to go with our Anzac Art. We have also done pastel art. ‍We chose our own kiwi animal. I choose a penguin. We firstly sketched it roughly. Then we looked at our picture closely and tried figuring out what colors we need. We learned how to blend colors so we could make it look like the real art work and you mostly would need whittle to blend it altogether. For the finishing touch you would go around the out side with black and it would make it stand out.
