  1. No matter the size, every contribution makes a difference. The Emory University Hardship Fund

  2. What is the Emory University Hardship Fund? The Emory University Hardship Fund (the “Fund”) is a community fund, designed to assist staff and faculty members who are experiencing a temporary financial hardship due to a catastrophic event. A hardship is considered to be an extreme misfortune of a faculty, staff or immediate family member, for reasons beyond their control, that results in the individual’s inability to meet basic living necessities. The Fund is supported by voluntary charitable donations provided by faculty, staff and any entities wanting to assist Emory community members facing unexpected financial challenges. All regular full- and part-time faculty and staff are eligible to apply. All applications shall remain confidential. The Emory University Hardship Fund – www.emory.edu/hardshipfund

  3. How Do I Donate? • Faculty and staff as well as other entities may contribute to the Fund through The Hardship Fund Website: www.emory.edu/hardshipfund/give • Contribution methods: • The MyEmory Campaign website: www.campaign.emory.edu • (credit card or direct bill) • Employee Self Service: http://leo.cc.emory.edu • (payroll deduction) • NOTE: Contributions to the hardship fund and other funds can be made under My Emory. Donations to the hardship fund also count towards the My Emory campaign goal. The Emory University Hardship Fund – www.emory.edu/hardshipfund

  4. How Do I Apply for Assistance? Please note: In order to ensure sufficient resources are available to applicants, our goal is to raise $15,000 in donations before opening the program for applications. Applicants must complete the Emory University Hardship Fund application and submit it, along with the supporting documentation, to the Emory WorkLife Resource Center. The need for funding must be due to a catastrophic event. Applications will be available online at www.emory.edu/hardshipfund or by visiting the Human Resources Department at 1599 Clifton Road for an application form. NOTE: All applications are confidential. The Emory University Hardship Fund – www.emory.edu/hardshipfund
