COLOMBIA Colombia es reconocida a nivel mundial por la producción de café suave, flores, esmeraldas, carbón y petróleo, su diversidad cultural y por ser el segundo de los países más ricos en biodiversidad del mundo.14 15 El PBI nominal colombiano es el cuarto más grande de América Latina después del de Brasil, México y Argentina, y ocupa el puesto 33 a nivel mundial.16 17 18 Su PBI PPA también ocupa el cuarto puesto en Latinoamérica, detrás de los mismos países, y ostenta el puesto 28 a nivel global.

  3. LA GRAN COLOMBIA • Colombia superó todos los cálculos en Londres 2012 • Ocho medallas: una de oro, tres de plata y cuatro de bronce —la mejor actuación de la historia— es la cosecha criolla en las justas británicas. El país dejó una buena base para las competencias de Río.

GASTRONOMIA COLOMBIANA La diversidad étnica también se manifiesta en la gastronomía Colombiana, en ella se mezclan ingredientes indígenas y españoles con formas de preparación africanas, Árabe y españolas. Los ingredientes principales en la gastronomía colombiana son: Cerdo, papas, frijoles, maíz, pollo, arroz y sopas.
