Data Analysis Status Highlights include: • Comparison of nature of December 1999 and January 2001 episodes • Quality assurance of aloft meteorological data • Determination of mixing heights during episodes • Evaluation of diurnal variations of mass, chemical components, and light scattering Light Scattering Measurements on 1/1/01

  4. Modeling Status • Highlights include: • ARB and U.C. Davis have completed preliminary IMS95 modeling • IMS95 modeling was presented at the March 28 Technical Committee meeting • Modeling RFP ready for release

  5. CRPAQS Modeling and Analysis Schedule • Winter 2003 - Initiate in-house and contractor data analysis efforts • Spring 2003 - Initiate in-house modeling efforts for CRPAQS episodes • Summer 2003 - Initiate UCD modeling for CRPAQS episodes • Fall 2003 - Begin contracts for external modeling support; preliminary findings from data analysis • Winter 2004 - Preliminary findings from in-house modeling • Spring 2004 - Data analysis contracts complete • Summer 2004 - Preliminary findings from UCD modeling • Fall 2005 - Modeling contracts complete

  6. AAAR Conference • Conference will be held on October 20-24th in Anaheim • Abstracts were submitted April 25th • AAAR has requested $5,000 in support for the special CRPAQS Symposium • Evaluating appropriate journal for publication of papers from the conference
