  18. Grades • CW (20%) – participation in independent and group work (accuracy, teamwork, fairshare, questioning) • HW (20%) – 3 to 4 times a week. May only be 1 or 2 questions depending on what we are currently exploring in class. • Quiz (20%) – every 1 – 2 weeks, students will have a short quiz – focuses more on skills and calculation • Journal (20%) – Daily warm-up. Students can get missed journals on my webpage. • Assessment (20%) – put can replace any quiz or HW grade if higher. (focuses on concept analysis, explanation of the math behind a concept) Emery - Math

  22. Pirates FIELD TRIPS Team trip (late Oct) Career Center Tour (~ November) Washington, DC (March 20 – 22) Grade Level celebration (June) BOXTOPS Competition as to which team gets the most. We are reigning champions..keep the tradition! LOCKERS The cost for the lock is $0.50. Locker fee is due September 15, 2012. Locks must be issued by school, no locks brought from home (they will be cutoff). Lost locks cost $5 to replace. TUTORING Stay tuned for days. We will offer various afternoons. If you have a request, please talk to the teacher for that subject.
