Adolescence is a pivotal transition from childhood to adulthood, characterized by identity formation and preparation for adult responsibilities. This stage can be stressful and confusing, as highlighted by developmental theories from Hall and Mead. Adolescents often navigate challenges like peer conformity, emotional independence, and familial dynamics. Cultural rites of passage, both local and global, play a significant role in marking newfound maturity. Understanding these complexities is crucial for supporting youth through this transformative period.
