Progress Report on BPRC Activities and Phase II Developments (April 2013)

This report highlights the progress made by the BPRC since its last briefing to the PC, detailing the activities from July 2011 to June 2012. Following the approved Phase I, significant initiatives have been undertaken in preparation for Phase II, with the Minister's endorsement on project initiation. The BPRC faced various challenges and complexities while collaborating closely with the department and engaging stakeholders across the water sector. PROGRESS SINCE OUR LAST BRIEFING OF PC • This is our third appearance before the PC since our appointment in July 2011 • The BPRC has produced a report for the period July 2011-June 2012 • After this period the BPRC prepared for Phase 2 • The Minister has since signed off on the Phase 2 projects • The BPRC found the work challenging and complex • The Committees approach was to work closely with the department and consult widely across the water sector
