  4. When and Where? • During Land Use Planning • During SAR Recovery Planning • During Environmental Assessment • During Cumulative Effects Analysis • When not? Situations where no relatively simple linking mechanism

How? • Density assignments • Habitat-based PVA (and other voodoo) • Identification of Trophic Relationships • Definitions of Populations • Investigations of: Carrying Capacity, Density Dependence, Stochasticity, Proximate and Ultimate Limiting Factors, Relationships with all kinds of Landscape Metrics……
