  2. The Aboriginal culture is one of the longest living cultures in the world. Lasted at least 60,000 years Most live in South East Australia. Australian Aboriginal Culture

  3. Most tribes don’t have a written language. There are about 15 languages that are still spoken today by some tribes. Aboriginal Language

  4. People have found “rock art”, of animals that became extinct 20,000- 40,000 years ago! Tree carving and weaving are other arts. Aboriginal Art

  5. Australia have mainly a mild-climate, people usually slept in the open warmed by a nice fire. When Aboriginal people use houses, they usually consisted of straight branches covered with leafy branches or sheets of bark. Aboriginal Housing

  6. They hunted and foraged for food. One of their main ways to kill animals is to use two rocks, to chip away at the other rock. Which makes the other rock very sharp. They also used boomerangs, spears, nets, and fish hooks. Aboriginal Food

  7. Religion is VERY important to them. Around 72% of Aboriginal people practice some type of Christianity currently. Before Christianity their belief system was “dreamtime”. Dreamtime is the beginning of everything in their world. Aboriginal Religion

  8. They wore cloaks, skirts, belts, and footwear. They saved their cut hair, and used it for ropes, headbands, and belts. They used possum skin for cloaks. Most of the time they didn’t have to wear clothes because it was warm enough. Aboriginal Clothing
