  3. Instruments that were Played • Louis Armstrong played various kinds of instruments. • For example, he played the guitar, cornet, and bugle, but the trumpet was his favorite and main instrument.

  4. The Influence that Helped Him Become a Jazz Musician • When Louis Armstrong was at Colored Waifs Home as a juvenile delinquent, he learned to play the cornet and bugle. Thus, he became interested to become a jazz musician. • He was about 8-9 years olds when he started to play instruments and sing songs.
