  2. What you will learn! How to add and subtract fractions.

  3. Vocabulary

  4. What you really need to know! Like fractionsare fractions that have the same denominator. To add or subtract like fractions, add or subtract the numerators and write the result over the denominator. Simplify if necessary.

  5. What you really need to know! To add or subtract unlike fractions, rename the fractions with a least common denominator. Then add or subtract as with like fractions. Simplify if necessary.
