Winds of Winter’ will not be Out before ‘Game of Thrones Season 6’ • To all the fans of Game of Thrones, it will be quite disappointing to learn that the eagerly awaited series of Game of Thrones Season 6 will actually be released way ahead of the book.  However, fans will still be glad to learn that the author of Winds of Winter has left a couple of spoilers that we can expect in the upcoming novel. • Bad news, Game of Thrones enthusiasts: George RR Martin, the author of Winds of Winter will not meet his stretched deadline on the sixth series of the novel. It will not be launched before April, when HBO’s Game of Thrones Season 6 starts, and as Martin has confessed in a recent blog post, he is not quite certain when he will finish writing it, let alone when it will hit bookstores.

In fact, he noted that while progress on the new novel is at a very advanced stage, and a lot of work has gone into the novel, he feels that there is still much to be done. He further suggested that he is still months away from completing it, and that is if the writing goes according to plan. • While the last season of the TV series moved away from the books quite considerably, Game of Thrones Season 6 will be the first that the TV writers will have produced without input from Martin’s books. With The Winds of Winter not yet complete, it is likely that the divergence from the author’s work will continue to feature in the upcoming series. Nevertheless, Martin pointed out that going by where we are at the moment, we should expect certain plot reveals and twists in Game of Thrones Season 6 that have not happened in the novel yet.
