Discuss common issues and concerns around the quality of teaching of mathematics and the provision of professional development for teachers of mathematics Discuss how the needs of ‘lifelong professional learning’ are supported by existing provision and what more should be done to make this a reality Share ways in which the NCETM can support strategic partners in the raising of quality of teaching and in the provision of professional development Strengthen and extend the impact of existing networks and partnerships Share current regional developments and explore how these might be developed to impact nationally, and in other regions, including the potential for working across boundaries Purpose of each expert seminar
