  2. When Where How • Sunday 6th April • Meet 10 am (sharp!)  • Clocks change the night before so you get an extra hours sleep • 22 Abbott Road, Heathcote • Important numbers • Gareth Home 9548 2847 • Gareth Mobile 0405 506 718 • CALL IF WEATHER LOOKS DODGY • Trains: see city rail web site for more details but • 8.14 am from Central gets to Heathcote at 9.08 am • 8.44 am from Central gets to Heathcote at 9.38 am • Call if you missed these 

  3. Coming from North West along Heathcote Rd Coming from the North down the Highway Past Engadine Station Lock car doors going through Engadine…  Past McDonalds If coming by train, cross over at lights and walk down Oliver St… then right at Boundary Rd and left into Abbott Road. Walk time = 8 mins 35 secs (approx)  22 Abbott Rd Right at lights by Heathcote Station down Oliver St

  4. What to Wear • Appropriate walking shoes • It’s quite rough in parts • Don’t need boots, trainers fine • Your swimmers!!! • Essential if weather even half good. • Sunglasses, sunscreen, hat Beyonce would not be suitably dressed

  5. What to Bring • Your lunch • Possibly sandwiches, etc BUT…. • There is a fireplace at the lake for a sizzle • Water (about 2 litres) • Camera • Bird-watching books, wildflower and geological guides 

  6. I will provide • Refreshments before we go and when we come back • Though I need to know numbers to avoid embarrassment • Encouragement up the steepest hills • Scant and dubious knowledge of local fauna and flora

  7. Our Probable Route! – about 9.5 km Secret Path Trailers Lake Pipeline Road Secret Path

  8. Disclaimer • Obviously this not an officially sanctioned MMB event • It’s just social event. • If you fall off the cliff at Eddles Lookout, sustain 3rd degree burns on the BBQ, get eaten by a crocodile in the lake, get bitten by bull ants, get Salmonella from the sausages or even get stuck talking to an academic…. I don’t take responsibility.
