  1. Tough yet, Highly Rewarding Life in an Offshore Oil Rig Job! While offshore jobs are somewhat physical in nature, many of the oil rig companies spend a lot of money to ensure that the time spent onboard for an employee remains enjoyable. Despite the fact that employees are living in the middle of the ocean, they get to live in accommodation wings made by offshore living quarter’s manufacturers that actually meet 5 star hotel standards! While on board, the company takes care of all expenses such as of food, laundry and travel costs. Living Offshore comes with its own perks and precautions such as 1.Employees are generally given safety glasses, safety boots, hats and coveralls. 2.They must stay focused and keep a good attitude on why they wanted to stay offshore. 3.One can go out to a smoking room where safety matches are given for ease of smoking 4.Sometimes employees have to work in a night shift as oil rig operates for 24 hours whole day and night! 5.Here medical attention, food and helicopters are considered o be quite important three elements. While in the petroleum industry, employees are not supposed to bring illegal drugs, alcohol, weapons, knives, lighters etc. to their offshore living quarters made by professional manufacturers in a way that it remains fire and blast free units.
