Hello Coronado Coyote Families, I’m so excited to be a part of the coyote family. I’m can’t wait for your child to start getting creative in the art room. I have so many fun projects in store for them and can’t wait to be a part of this “howling” community. They will be learning about the elements of art; color, space, shape, value, line, texture, and form. Students will use many different art materials and art tools. Your child will learn about artists, different cultures, and various styles of art. The art room will have visiting local artists, and docents from the phoenix art museum visiting 4th/6th graders. All lessons will be following the Arizona State Standards for the Visual Arts.
Art Room Donations Below is a list of donations that would be very welcomed. It’s back to school time and there are a lot of sales going on now with school supplies that the art room could use. New Items- Reams of copy paper, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, markers, crayons, bags of cotton balls, boxes of Q-tips, lots of glue sticks, black sharpies, dry eraser markers, and baby wipes Gently Used/ Recycled items (cleaned/washed)- Magazines, Fabric, wallpaper samples, sour cream/ yogurt containers with lids, cookie cutters, plastic silverware, old t-shirts (for paint shirts) , artificial flowers, yarn, ribbon, buttons, egg cartons, beads, bags of dried bean and anything else you think your child could get creative with. Thank you in advance for your support in the fine arts program here at Coronado! “Keep Art in Your Heart” Miss W
