  2. What is Bullying? • The State of Georgia Law states: Any willful attempt or threat to inflict injury on another person….or any intentional display of force such as would give the victim reason to fear or expect immediate bodily harm

  3. Bullying • Includes hitting, pushing name calling, threatening, sending mean e-mails or ruining another person’s things Please DON’T hit me!

  4. Bullying • Is not okay, fair, kind or acceptable • NO ONE deserves to be bullied!!! I did not deserve this!

  5. WHO BULLIES AND WHY?

  6. Kids who bully come in all shapes and sizes

  7. Bullies can be • Big or Small • Older or Younger • Rich or Poor • Boy or Girl

  8. How To Spot A BULLY

  9. Spotting a Bully • They want control and power over other kids • They do this by making kids feels bad in one way or another I feel really bad!

  10. Spotting a Bully • Bullies may feel bad about themselves • Some kids think the only way to feel good about themselves is to make other kids feel bad

  11. Spotting a Bully • They may think highly of themselves • Some kids who bully think they are better than others and it’s okay to be mean Hey ! Dumb kid with the red hair, I’m gonna sock it to ya!

  13. What A Bully Looks For • Differences • Helplessness • Isolation EX. Hair color, disability, clothes accent or anything • Kids who feel scared or upset , maybe even cry • Bullies feel good when you feel bad • When someone is alone, it makes bullying easier • Bullies love secrecy

  14. What A Bully Looks For • Kids who bully want someone who is different, will become upset or is alone Give me your lunch money, kid!

  15. What YOU Can Do Against This has to STOP Bullying!

  16. Be AGAINST Bullying • Trying to fight back is NOT a good idea • Bullying can become worse • You can get suspended from school • You may seen as part of the problem Fighting is NOT the answer

  17. BE AGAINST BULLYING • RESPECT DIFFERENCES • TELL AN ADULT,TEACHER OR PARENT • DON’T REACT-WALK AWAY • BE WITH OTHERS • TRY TO TALK TO THE BULLY
