  2. Latin America context • Mexican economy contributes with 20% of GDP in the primary sector in Latin America. • Mexico is the second largest economy in Latin America, it provides 29% of Regional GDP. Source: ECLAC Source: ECLAC The 19% of Latin-American population lives in Mexico. 3

Financiera Rural Mission and Vision statements FinancieraRural is part of the development bank system since 2002 to provide technical support, training and consulting in rural areas consolidating a financial structure. Vision Mission We are committed to be the number one underwriter of credits in rural areas of Mexico being recognized by our costumers for our agility, passion, services, and commitment. To develop economic integration processes through financing individual producers and rural-related companies in México, as well as indirect financing through other non-banking financial institutions for any economic activity in the rural areas with less than 50,000 inhabitants to improve their life quality. 4

  4. Regional Structure We have 5 Regional Coordination offices that allows national coverage through 95 Agencies. 5

  5. Food Security in Mexico • Food and nutrition security takes into account the availability, quality and access to food, in Mexico. 18% of the Mexican population* Suffer food poverty. There are several federal programs and international cooperation to combat this: *Source: CONEVAL 6

Food Security in Mexico • As part of the development bank system in Mexico, Financiera Rural has a bivalent role in its activities. • 1ST Improve the production of quality food, adequate and accessiblethrough granting credits to rural areas. • 2ND Promotes the increase of income for rural families. 8
