  2. Five Options • Department Funding • IFAS/CALS Graduate Student Travel Grant* • UF Graduate Student Council Travel Grant • James Davidson Graduate Travel Scholarship • Research and Graduate Programs Travel Grant*

  3. Department Funding • $200 if you are presenting a poster, paper, or workshop • One per year (July 1-June 30) • ALWAYS fill out the yellow travel form • See Rachel if you need help

IFAS/CALS Travel Grants • $200 – must be presenting your research: poster or paper • One per year • Must have matching funds from department • Online application process • Deadlines: • *Nov 1: Conferences between Jan 1-March 31 • Feb 1: Conferences between April 1-June 30 • May 1: Conferences between July 1-Sept 30 • Aug 1: Conferences between Oct 1-Dec 31

  6. Graduate School Council • $250 per year – must be first author on paper or poster • Do not need matching funds • Word document application – email to gscgrants@gmail.com

Graduate School Council • Do not purchase anything prior to approval • New deadlines/procedures • *Nov. 20: Conferences between Jan 1 – March 31 • Feb. 15: Conferences between April 1 – June 30 • May 1: Conferences between July 1 – Sept 30 • Once you get approval, fill out the LONG form they will email you within 7 days • Keep all of your receipts to turn in to them directly

Research & Graduate Programs • $300 one-time • Doctoral-level students only • Department and/or college funding needed • 3 ways to qualify: • Be invited to speak and not offered funding by organization • In final year of program and presenting at national meeting with potential employees • Conducting research off-campus

  12. Research & Graduate Programs • Due 1 month prior to travel date • PDF Application • Turn in at Office of Research in Grinter Hall

James Davidson • $300 within US or $650 if international • Must be national or international meeting/conference • Must be presenting paper or poster • PDF Application with instructions • Turned in to department one week before college deadline • Deadlines: • November 1: Conferences between Jan. 1 – June 30 • May 1: Conferences between July 1 – Dec. 31
